Ways to Worship With Us

A Word for the Week

Don’t Let the Story Stop Us

Reliance Church RVA’s Call to Worship is more than a scripture. It is a RESPONSIBILITY.

Psalm 78:1–4 reminds us that God’s goodness was never meant to remain a family secret. If we do not tell the next generation what He has done, they may inherit our blessings without knowing the One who provided them.

Our children need more than our accomplishments. They need our testimonies. They need to hear how God answered prayers, opened doors, carried us through hardship, and made a way when we could not see one.

Remembering keeps us humble. It reminds us that we are not self-made. We are grace-kept. The same God who sustained us in the past is the God we can trust today.

So tell the story. Share one specific example of God’s faithfulness with a child or young person. Tell it plainly, gratefully, and often.

Don’t assume the next generation will connect the dots on its own. We won’t hide the works of the Lord from our children, and we won’t let the story stop with us.

Upcoming at RCRVA

Let your family and friends know that you worshipped at Reliance Church RVA this Sunday by taking a picture in front of our Step and Repeat outside in the lobby after worship today!.

Take your picture and post it to your favorite social media platform(s) to let people know that you were here!

BLESS Your FRANCES List

In 2026, let us continue to Connect with Our Community by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ by leaning into our church theme “Preaching the Good News of Jesus Christ to All Generations!” We can preach the Good News of Jesus Christ by BLESSING them! We BLESS them by Beginning with Prayer, Listening to them, Eating with them, Serving them, and Sharing our Story with them how Jesus has changed our lives. You can start with people in your FRANCES circles. Your FRANCES circle consists of Friends, Relatives, Acquaintances, Neighbors, Co-Workers, Enemies, and Strangers.

We are asking all our covenant members and regular attenders to complete your FRANCES List with those unchurched people that you are praying for by Monday, August 31, 2026. Bring a copy to turn into Pastor Jackson on Sunday, September 6, 2026. We will review our FRANCES Lists in our growth groups and monthly ministry meetings.
